Oh no, aschool with no male companions. How is a girl to develop any social abilities when she’s stuck in a single sex school? Her mom and dad possibly think she’ll be able to focus on her studies better without male distractions if she attends a boarding college for girls. Of course there are the la-di-da finishing colleges, where a young woman can learn the social graces critical to take her correct place in society. How outdated is that?
Modern girls only faculties are light years from the single sex colleges of the past. They supply a top quality education and chances to socialise. No more prowling off to the boy’s college across the way. To be honest, there’s nothing like a good fiance. While men could be fickle, a girl understands you and will be a part of your life forever. I have a mate like that and she is a treasure. She’s seen me at my best and my worst and her comradeship hasn’t paused.
What will a young woman gain from attending a girl’s school? Aside from a good education, girls have a safe place to explore new interests and activities. Girls in co-ed schools are less sure to communicate up and be competitive for fear of being labeled and made fun of. In an all girl setting, they can pursue their athletic interests without being labeled a jock or worse. They can develop a healthy competitive spirit and be a part of a team. Strong female role models are much more likely to be found in a girl’s school. This helps girls to prosper and become healthier, well rounded adults.
Girls are basically, people pleasers and an environment free from male influence helps a young lady learn that her viewpoints have price and she can talk up for herself. Overall, it leads to a rather more successful and assured adult. Women today can be anything they select and a single sex environment supports a woman’s autonomy. Women can bond with one another and learn how to survive in a male controlled world without becoming that nasty word that many successful ladies are called.
There’s a common misconception that all girl faculties are for “bad girls”. There are faculties that deal only with girls who have psychological issues and behaviour problems. A structured way of life is commonly advantageous to remedy this position but most girl’s schools are there to provide a quality education, confidence and a greater sense of self, so if you’re considering it, check one out. They encourage visits to work out if it’s the proper fit.
